At this year’s Golden Globes, celebrities took their chances with new intriguing hairstyles. Instead of opting for edgy, “done but un-done”, and disheveled styles.-something we saw a lot of in 2015-we saw so many stars walk down the carpet looking amazingly polished.
The biggest trend this award season? Pristine “done” hair. But the best part? Unlike the tried and true, event updo, these styles are extremely easy to copy and recreate. Take Olivia Wilde’s soft wave and super low pony: Play around with creating waves by sleeping on French braided hair-the bigger the braid, the softer the wave. This look makes a great date style or even a fresh workday look! What about Zoe Kazan’s smooth and sleek blunt bob? With just a few minutes of flat ironing, you’re ready for a girl’s night out! Don’t forget to finish with a smoothing, shine pomade to help with fly-aways or static. And finally, of course, Jennifer Lopez and her smooth lob with a flip on the ends. Instead of round brushing down or away from your face, just change the direction you’re holding the brush to up to get that soft flip. Add a black cherry red lip like JLo and you’re good to go for any event.
Don’t forget to ask your stylists for tips and tricks on irons, round brushing, or finishing. They can show you how to achieve any of the trendy, new looks we saw this year at the Golden Globes!
